Consistency

This is possibly an under-rated point, but one that applies to all pilots. As a renter you are getting one of the fleet. Sometimes the squawks are sufficient to ground the plane just before you planned to fly. Sometimes a fleet plane is preempted for a student taking a check ride. Sometimes you are delayed simply because the prior renter just got delayed.

When you own the plane most of those problems cease. Owning the plane outright or as a partner you have an agreement with everyone so that preempting does not happen. With little exception, the plane is yours when you want or plan for it. You know the condition of the plane and improvements are possible.

Flying the same plane brings the benefit of familiarity and comfort. This reduces stress and anxiety for any flight and when you know and trust the plane the flights are safer.
